Because we have the best interests of our puppies in mind, we want to make sure they are going to exceptional homes. This is why I like to ask a few questions about the potential owners and their family, as it gives me a starting place from which to get to know you. Please include these and anything else you would like me to know about your family.
Please include these questions when you email us!
1. Where are you located?
2. Have you ever owned a Cocker Spaniel before? Are you aware of the characteristics of the breed and grooming requirements?
3. Do you have children, and what are their ages? Are you planning a family in the future?
4. Do you have a yard, is it fenced? If not, where are you able to exercise and potty your dog?
5. On a typical day, what is the family work/school schedule like? About how long would your puppy be expected to be alone? Do you have a plan for being home regularily enough to facilitate housetraining in the early days? (Seems trivial, but some new owners don't realize (or forget) that a new puppy takes lots of time and commitment in the early days.) I recommend crate training and/or use of a doggy door.
6. Are you willing to sign a non-breeding agreement and have your dog neutered/spayed? (Recommended to be done by the age of 6 months)
7. Do you currently have any other pets?
